My Life Essay…..by Ashley Kelley Poynter

Hi, my name is Ashley.
I am a girl. I am 15 nearly 16.
I design symbols, my pet’s names are Chessy who is a horse, and chestnut coloured. Silver tongue who is another horse, white with silver spots. I have lots of other horses I am not going to tell you about them yet. Before you think I am boasting it is just that my parents own a riding school.
I have a cat called Midnight who is all black, not even one white hair!! I have a dog called lucky who is a collie, black, white and ginger. I have a Tarantula called spidder. An all black snake with yellow eye ‘s called slytherin. Also a girl dog that is a collie called Tess.

I am a spy. I am going on a mission soon, it is something about drink poisoning. I love spy school ,Woo.

I also love riding. I have two best friends, Lilly Clark and Tom Sims they are both girls.

I wasn’t having a good day……..

This is a description of what I wear a black strap top with sequins in the shape of a girl, black jeans, converse trainers,(with my black hair I look like a rock star!!)
A jacket with skeletons all over and a skeleton key ring zip.
A LOT of bangles, two charm bracelets, black fingerless gloves with skeletons on them .

Me Me as a boy

I was late……..

I ran down the road , my black hair flying behind me, my jacket flying behind me like a cloak and then I remembered I had forgotten my horse. “Great” I said I ran back as fast as I could ,jumped onto my horse grabbing at her reins, she reared up as I grabbed her mane by mistake.
I had to let go I would have hurt her otherwise. slipping down her back as she reared up, I grabbed her tail pulling myself up .I managed to grab hold of her reins at last.
“Sorry old girl “I said.
I pulled at her reins hard, kicking her thighs, too hard !! “Whoops!! “
I said as she jumped up nearly knocking me off.
We ran down the road. When we got to the gate I saw the sign with the name Oak hill Riding School on it. She reared up flicking me forwards, I did a double flip ,my coat slipped over my head and fell to the floor and I landed in a big heap in a pile of horse dung……..

“OHHHHH ,“I said ,“I’m really having a bad day”……..

“Come on” said the teacher. “Honestly, you really get yourself into some states Ashley.”
“Yes miss ,“ I said
“You look like a right mess, go and get yourself cleaned up.”
“Yes miss ,“I said obediently and went off.
When I got back my two best friends Lilly and Tom were standing there holding their horses.
“Hi guys “I said.
“You look awful ,“said Tom.
“Thanks !!”,I said ,“really thanks!!”
“You look alright,” said Lilly .
“Thanks Lilly “I said “your better than Tom any day!!”
“Oi “ said tom
“Only joking, “I said

“You three go and ride around the stables four times, cantering and then Tom with the help of the others light the huge fire in the stables.”
“Why ?“ I said
“Because your two hours late,” said Miss Hardman.
“Am I ?“I said ,“oh boy my watch must be dead.”
“Isn’t that one of Smithers inventions ?“asked Lilly.
“Yeah “I said “not that the gadgets are dead just my watch needs charging again.”
“Honestly !“said the teacher, “you girls it’s nine o’clock.”
“Sorry miss ,“we said in unison.
“GO GO GIRLS, FAST FAST FAST .”
I grabbed Chessy, pulling myself onto her back.

We rode into the riding ring, and cantered round four times.
We tried and tried and tried and tried to light the big fire in the stables!!!!
“This stupid thing won’t work !“Tom said.
Lilly dug me in the ribs, “can anyone smell smoke?” she said.
“Mmmm,” I said .
Tom said ,“I sure can smell smoke,”
“FIRE!!” screamed the teacher and threw a bucket of water with little surprises in it!!!
These are what the surprises were, horse manure dead horse skin horse hay that is very very soggy “great !“ I said. “I am really covered in bad luck.”
“After all those lucky charms you made me buy for you last year ,“said Lilly.
“Yeah ,“I said sadly.
“Who did this? “Said the teacher angrily
“Me ,“I said quickly before Tom could own up.
“Clean it up ,clean his mane and clean his sores.”
“Yes miss ,“I sighed
“Then ride the ring 80 times .”
I rode round and round and round and round it seemed like I was riding for eternity.
“You can stop and go on a long trek with your friends now.”
“Great ,“I said.
When I went out Tom immediately said “why? “
“Why what?” I said.
“Why did you say it was you instead of me?”
“Because you are my friend and I wouldn’t want you to have to do that and miss all the riding.”
“Thanks ,“Tom said and put her arm around my shoulder.
Then I looked at my shoes, I was wearing my sisters best PINK party shoes!!!!
“I can’t go riding in these,” I said in despair.
“Here ,“ said the teacher giving me some black riding boots.
“Thanks ,“I said
“Ill take your sisters party shoes back, and you go riding.” I could of hugged her.
“Thanks Miss ,“I said again.
We went on a long trek, round rivers, roads, and brooks.

(next day 12am)

“That party was good “I said looking around me in the darkness.
I was wearing my best black jeans, best black top, and best converse trainers.
I wish my horse hadn’t reared up just then, I wish I hadn’t gone flying ,I wish I hadn’t landed in the coldest deepest fastest river imaginable. I screamed ,
ok I sounded like a girl ,
I didn’t want to sound like a girl I just wanted to be sitting at home next to a nice hot fire instead of a cold fast deep river. Then I saw a hand coming down into the water, I grabbed it and got pulled up, Tom helped me up as well as Lilly.
They both helped me onto my horse, my horse was flighty after that so when a car came and stopped in the middle of the road ,I wished I hadn’t gone flying on to the top of the car ,“sorry ,”I said and jumped down. “Alright” said the man in the car.

(next day 10 am)

I can’t wait ,do you know why I can’t wait?
It’s my birthday tomorrow.
My friend Lilly’s dog has had puppies ,she is selling the dog and the puppies all together. I heard my mom and dad talking ,they said for my birthday they were going to get the Labradors (that’s what kind of dog they are)cool isn’t it? This morning my mom let me open one big present you’ll never guess what was in it?
Toy’s for the Labradors and in the bottom three wrapped up presents ,one box was big and oval so I opened that first, in it were the best converse trainers I have ever seen!!
They were black with writing on them. The writing said on one side Tom boys rule on the other side they said rock chick for life on the other one ,one side said girls can be boys and boys can be girls it’s a mixed up world on the other it said Five colours in her hair Woo. In one of the other packages was a top, it had a fish net vest stuck to it and it was ripped in several places and it said on it Tom boys rule and at the bottom it said rock chick. I got some new black jeans with rips in them in the other package and on the bottom of the legs there were all the badges I have ever got, they covered a foot of it on both sides.

(next day 9 pm)

I got a letter through the post this morning, it had loads and loads of tickets in it.
Before you think I have got fines, they’re concert tickets, for every band I like! Starting with Mcfly tomorrow. I am going to a concert every night for a month, not just Mcfly ,loads of other bands that I love. There are three tickets for every gig. So me Lilly and Tom can go. Cool isn’t it? Woo Woo Woo !!
I also got a new phone black with a slide front. And also lots of posters of the bands I like ,to cover the walls of my room. My room has got black walls with lot’s of stars and moons. I have a cabin bed with a desk underneath as part of it. I can put my lap top on it. I have black duvets with stars and at night I look up and think I am outside in space. My room is really big. I have a jewellery box ,I have got loads of new charm bracelets from my Mom ,eight to be precise and new bangles ,I’ve got 150 now. I have a fish called wish and I know it is strange but I have a little worry about him ,it sounds silly, but I got a new fish called stripes she is a girl, wish is a boy, it is disgusting how you have to check ,you have to put your hand inside and pull something out ,oo oo oo !! I can’t really remember how……
Now the new fish is a bit of a bully she eats Wish’s food and doesn’t let him have any space, I just don’t want to leave all my pets.

(coach to New Guinea Airport America 8pm)

These are all the gadgets I got from Smithers for this new mission. I got a watch with a teleport ,mini laptop ,laser hook so you can hook onto things and it can swing you. The laptop can project things onto the wall if you want all of your friends to see. Pen with a camera in it. A special key on a charm bracelet that opens anything. Earrings that shoot darts out of them.
I live in Peachland in America. Mom and Dad say that I can’t go to Manchester on my own.
I said “ I’m not going to be on my own I have got my two best friends Lilly and Tom!!”
Mom and Dad eventually gave in as they said they were going to England too and would be able to see us sometimes.
I am writing this down on the coach to the airport. Mom and Dad eventually told me why they were going to England. It is because they are looking for a new house!!
I asked them why, they said it was just because they wanted to have a holiday home in England, but I know something is wrong……….

(Next day on the coach to Manchester 12pm)

“She’s in love with Alex Rider, she’s in love with Alex Rider!!” “Lilly shut up.”
“She’s in love with Alex Rider”
“Lilly !!!”
“Yeah Lil ,“Tom said.
Alex Rider isn’t real. I said, “ok, Alex Pettifer is real but there is no Alex Rider.”

“Why is the bus stopping ?“asked Tom, “have you been writing so long and both of us been reading so long , that is me and Lilly ,“tom said,” that we have reached Manchester already?”
Then someone in front said “we have just stopped at a bus stop.”
A girl got on the bus she looked about our age. She walked up the aisle, opened the compartment door (If you are wondering why there is a compartment on a coach ,well all the seats are enclosed in compartments with a huge window at one side and a desk in the middle stuck to the floor ,so I can write .I sat at the window seat with an empty seat next to me, Lilly and Tom are sitting opposite me, we have to still wear seatbelts though) she came and sat down in the empty seat next to me.
“Hi” I said “what’s your name?”
“Jody “said the girl
“How old are you Jody ?“asked Tom
“I’m nearly 15”
“Cool that means your nearly Lilly’s age, this is Lilly I’m Tom and that’s Ashley ,“Tom poked her thumb at all of us.
“Where do you live Jody” Lilly asked.
“Peachland I go to riding school there.”
“In America “I asked.
“Yeah !right” she said, “I‘ve got the accent haven’t I?”
“We live in Peachland too I said.”
“Wait” said Lilly “I’ve seen you before riding in the fields.”
“You probably have “said Jody
“So that means we can be friends “Tom said
“Ok “said Jody.
“Jody” I said cautiously “are you going to the concerts for the next month,” Mcfly and Sugababes and so on.”
“Yeah !!! “said Jody “are you?”
“YEAH” we screamed and threw our arms around her.
“Cool” said Jody.
Then I remembered, I told the others “Mom and Dad want us to have a holiday home in England ,but I know something is terribly wrong. Isn’t it strange why can’t they just come and stay in a lodge when they want to? “I said to the others. “Didn’t I tell you we are staying in a lodge?”
“No” said the others
“I am too “said Jody
“Which one” I asked
“Number 31 opposite the concert hall.”
“Cool we are in the same lodge and we can travel together.”
“Cool “said Jody
“What bedroom are you staying in” asked Jody “they did say I would have to share with a few giggly girls.”
“We are in number 888,”
“Me too” said Jody.
“Cool “we all said.

“Good morning Tom, good morning Lilly ,I also said good morning to a sleepy Jody.

Mum set me some home work so I’m going to do that now, I’ll write it in my diary.”

When we came back it was nearly 1 o’clock

“Lets get changed” said Lilly.

“Mmmm “I said.

When we got changed their was just enough time to dash downstairs and get to the concert hall.

We pushed our way to the front.
Mcfly had just finished singing ‘five colours in her hair’ when something happened.
Danny seemed to fall and Tom dropped his guitar, Harry looked stunned and my brother Duggie went crazy, running about.

“What’s happened “screamed Lilly over the noise.
“ dunno “I said back.
I grabbed my friends hands and pulled them out of the concert hall.
When we were back in our room Lilly started crying.
What is it Lil I said concerned. I put my arm around her and she buried her head in my shoulder. I hugged her.
I think what happened was someone stunned them all and made them do what they wanted.
“You could be right “said Tom.
I shook Lilly gently by the shoulders “It’s alright”
“Thanks Ash “she said “shall we go and see what happened?”
“Maybe later” I said “you need to calm down.”

That night I couldn’t sleep. I got up and went outside to the balcony, sitting on the edge of it and dangling my feet over the side. I grabbed my diary out of my pocket and began to write. This is what I wrote.

‘It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okaayayay.
I’m there for you hoo
You’ll never be alone whilst I’m at home.
I’ll be there eeer for you’

“What you doing” said Tom.
I screamed as I fell off the balcony grabbing hold of the side.
My arms getting cut from the uneven concrete walls, I was slipping ,slipping down into darkness!!

“Ash” said a voice
“Ash ! she’s awake.”
Someone threw their arms around me and began to cry, I realised it was Lilly.
“Are you alright?”
“My arm hurts “I said
“You broke your wrist “
“Owww “

“My wrist really hurts” I said.
“I am sure it will be better soon” said Lilly.

“Yeah I am sure it will be better soon “said the others.
Then there was an announcement this is what it said.
Ladies and gentlemen I am very sorry but Mcfly cannot play tonight. Were looking for a girl band, please report to the office.
“Lets do it “said Jody.
“Ok” said Lilly and Tom .
“We can all play instruments can’t we?”
“I can sing” I said, “and play a guitar.”
“ Cool “we all said and ran down to the office.

(Next day 10AM Lodge)

“One day I saw” voice cracking Lilly said,
“Oh I cant do this “
“yes you can “said Jody.
“Can we go riding” said Lilly.
“Ok I said but only for a while.”
So we went riding.

Yesterday we got the job of being a girl band and playing on stage.

“The concert is in five minutes !!“screamed Lilly.
“Why are you so worried” I said.
“Because Mcfly got darted didn’t they and they are sick now, we don’t want to get darted do we? “
“No we don’t.”
“ Lilly I have broken my wrist “I said” we should maybe go home after this concert.”
“ Ok “said the other girls.

I am going to ring mom and dad now and tell them were going home early. This is the conversation I had:

“Hi mom its just me (me).
Hi darling you alright (mom).
Yeah just to say I broke my wrist and we have to go home early (me).
Ok just as long as you are alright (mom).
Ok bye mom (me).
Bye darling (mom).”

(after the concert on the coach going from New Guinea airport in America).

“I can’t wait to get home “I said.
“Me too” said Lilly.
“I kind of liked it there “said Tom.
“Where ,in England?” said Jody.
“Yeah “said Tom.
“All them off for Peachland “said the driver.
“That’s our stop” I said grabbing my bag from under the seat.

This is a description of all of my friends and what they look like and what they wear.

Jody: long curly brown hair, pale skin, dark grey eyes and is around five feet seven ‘ish. She wears a strap top darkish green ,she wears a tu tu stuck to some bluish grey jeans. She has large trainers, grey with a flower and a black jumper.

Lilly: She has blonde hair very long down to her waist ,green eyes and is around five feet four. She wears a pink top with writing on it and the writing says TOM BOYS CAN BE PINK AS WELL AS BLACK. Jeans with a tu tu stuck to them and some long black riding boots.

Tom: She has short red hair down to her shoulders dark brown eyes and is around five feet seven. She wears black jeans converse trainers a black top with stars on it with long sleeves and a jacket with TOM BOYS RULE on the back of it which is bluey black.

For a moving present we all bought each other heart shaped lockets which were all the same with a silver snake engraved in the gold heart. With pictures of all four of us together so that we would never forget each other.

Just then the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it “I screamed dropping my suitcase. It was open so the contents flew all over the floor when I dropped it. When I opened the door my best friend Ingrid was standing there. “Hi Ingrid “I said.
“Hi “said Ingrid.
“Come in “I said.
This is a description of what Ingrid wears and looks like. She’s a vampire but a good vampire so some of the questions will be a bit funny.

She has black wavy hair (long down to her waist), a shimmery top, black jeans with a black starry skirt attached to them, long black boots with a red collar and a cape (black and red). Her power levels are 10 out of 10, she is around five feet six, she has yellow eyes. The shape she takes when she is fighting is a black wolfess.

“Come in Ingrid I said”
We walked into the kitchen and sat down on one of the high stools.
“You know that order you did for a star cardigan, a locked diary with a pen, and Mcfly’s new album signed by all the band, and two pairs of drumsticks? Well it came to my house instead of yours ,so I brought it round.”
“Thanks Ingrid” I said.
“Your welcome “she said and gave me the package.
The doorbell rang for the second time that day.
“I’ll get it “I said putting the package down on the table.
I looked out of the window as I raced down the hall, all I could see was four people standing on the doormat getting soaked ,it was raining hard. When I opened the door Harry, Dougie, Danny and Tom were standing there!!!!!
I threw my arms around Danny’s neck and hugged him tight .
“ I haven’t see you in ages “I said.
Danny hugged me back.
“Isn’t it me your meant to be hugging “said Dougie.
I let go of Danny and hugged Dougie.
“What about us !!! Said Tom and Harry in unison.
I ignored them because I knew they were being sarcastic. and said come on in .
“Who is it? “ said Mom.
“ My brother and his gang “ I said.
“DOUGIE” said Mom running down the hall.
Mum threw her arms around Dougies’ neck as I had done to Danny seconds before.
Ingrid walked down the hall, Dougie looked pleased to see her. I realised my brother might just be in love with my best friend!!!
Dougie hugged Ingrid
“Hi” he said.
Now I was sure my brother was in love with Ingrid and Ingrid was equally in love with him.
Well it was ok cos I guess I am in love with Danny and he is equally in love with me too.
Danny put his arm around me as we walked down the hall, Dougie whistled at us but we ignored him.
The doorbell rang for the third time that day,
“I’ll get it “said Mum.
Danny and I went and sat in the kitchen while the others waited to see who was at the door. Before we knew what we were doing me and Danny were kissing!!!!
“WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?” said Tom walking in the door.
We ignored him. We finally broke apart when we heard mum’s footsteps coming down the hall. Danny quickly pretended to be taking of his jacket and I hissed at Tom not to tell Mom.
Mom, Harry, Dougie, and my friends Tom ,Lilly ,Jody and Ingrid all walked through the door.
“Oh hi Danny ,Hi Tom,, Hi Ashley said my friends in Unison.
“This is going to get really confusing “I said.
“Why” said Lilly
“Because of the two Tom’s ,I will have to call one by a different name!!”
“Call me Megan “said Tom “ and call Tom ,Tom”.
“Ok “I said.
“Ummm I need to talk with everyone ,but you Mom” I said.
“First just Mcfly in my room, and then my friends”
We went up to my room to talk.
“You know me and Danny have always been friends” I said.
“Yeah “ said Harry Tom and Dougie.
“Don’t tell me you have proposed to her as well as kissing her” blurted out Tom before I could say anything.
“No” I said “ it is just that Danny has asked me out on a date”.
“ WHAT?” said Dougie “ No wonder you threw your arms around him!!”
“You can’t go out with him” said Dougie.
“Why not?” I said.
“Because you’re 14”
“I am so not “I said.” I am 16 for your information You have forgotten two of my birthdays you sausage” I said.
( didn’t really use the word sausage I actually used a much ruder word !!!but I am not going to write that down here!!)
“You cheeky little so and so” said Dougie and walked out of the room.
Tom and Harry looked at me sympathetically and I burst into tears, Danny put his arms around me and I buried my face in his shoulder.
Just then my cell phone rang,
“One second” I said slipping the front of it up,
“Ashley Kelly Pointer ,who’s speaking please?”
“Hi miss you have won the lottery “said a mans voice.
“One second whilst I compose myself !!“I said
“Oh my god I have won the lottery!!!!!“ I exclaimed.

Mcfly Danny by me (not very
good)

I have 5 new friends Abby 16 and Ella 14 And Megan 16 Lola 15 Catra 12 Danny rescued her from the water world

“I’ve got a good idea what I am going to spend the money that I won .I am going to go to Wales and take the people of my choice with me and I am going to go to Cardigan Bay Newquay, and we’re going to Haven caravan park. It’s going to be great. There’s also going to be some people there that I know so I don’t need to pay for them but I am going to offer them some money anyway.”
“this is going to be great” said Tom.” It’s a really good idea that we can go on holiday together.”
“I didn’t say who I was inviting” I said.
And then I laughed
“of course I am inviting all of you!!” I said “ I am inviting Mcfly but they are already on a tour in Wales. I am inviting all my friends, My Mum and Dad and my little sisters. So it’s going to be great!!”
“YEAH” said Ingrid “ although I don’t like air”
“Hey” I said “you do!!”
“But I might suck some peoples blood, you know I am a vampire”
“Hoy Ingrid” I said “you won’t.”
“Of course I won’t” she said “I was only joking!!”
“Yeah” said Lilly sadly “can my family come” she said “all of ours?”
“yeah “I said
“great “said Lilly “that will be fantastic”

Next day in Wales

It was the day after I had won the Lottery. I was in my car, well my bus. It would have to be a bus to hold 20 make that 30 people , and the animals , (they are allowed to come) and the horses in the cart behind us, that some of the people like My parents are in.
Me, Ingrid, Tom ,Lilly ,Jody, Abby, and Ella were sitting in the back with the glass panel round us. We are nearly at Cardigan Bay, we are driving on a coastal path at the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. Lilly is clutching hold of me, I forgot ,she is car sick. Lilly is sitting at the window seat and she is clutching hold of me afraid she is going to fall out.
This is why Lilly is so car sick, there is just all these twisty twiney roads and she hated them. She hasn’t been sick yet, well once when we got out at a service station, but that was, what three ,four hours ago. It ‘s going to be an hour till we get to where we want to be.
I am looking out at the sea, Lilly and I swapped places a minute ago. Lilly is clutching hold of me for dear life ,afraid she is going to throw up all over me. I said I wouldn’t care.
She is holding a plastic bag afraid she is going to throw up in it. She hates even sitting in a car. She hasn’t been car sick since she was a baby, well seven !!
It took eight hours to get here so I can’t blame her. I am just slightly worried about her that’s all. She is feeling alright now but she is still clutching my arm.
Ingrid , Abbey and the rest of them aren’t scared, neither am I ,that’s why I am holding on to Lilly.
Lilly has just been sick “great” all over my arm!!
“Oh poor Lilly” I said.
“aww “groaned Lilly
Everyone said “OH poor Lilly.!!”
“ are we nearly there yet“. Abbey said.
“I am slightly scared “said Jody(although she isn’t car sick, non of us are apart from Lilly)
“What are we going to do when we get to Wales “said Tom.
“Who wants to go on the scary rides at Oakwood theme park” I said
“Yeah” they all said.
“Not me” said Lilly.
“I will said” Jody “although I am a little bit scared”.
